This is an extremely high-quality rug, knotted with the highest quality wool available in Afghanistan in an extremely tight-knotted (double-knotted) fashion. The technical difficulties of weaving a rug of this quality using a woolen warp and weft are unbelievable. The design is intricate and pins sharp. The wool lustrous and the color glowing.
The color of the wool is 100% natural and there is no artificial color included. This means, with the addition of the extremely tightly knotted wool, the rug ends up being extremely durable, and the softness of the wool will increase over time just like with most double-knotted rugs.
