This is an Afghan famous Kondozi well-made hand-knotted made with 100-percent soft high-quality wool of sheep. These rugs are made in typically colors red, orange with the geometric designs, which has been repeated for centuries. This rug is made of 100-percent wool, and pure vegetable dyes. The vegetable dyes most commonly used are madder, the root of a spindly bush which grows abundantly in many carpet-producing area which is used to create a red color.
The material is 100% wool with an extremely strong foundation of wool that was meant to keep the rug in excellent condition for decades (one of the traits of Afghan rugs). It is very easily washable and can be vacuumed regularly due to its solid foundation and is pet-friendly as well.
Very durable and meant to last for a lifetime without losing it’s quality. Excellent for high usage areas. 100% Wool with an additional Wool Foundation at the root.
Very easy to clean: with a vacuum cleaner or a simple shampoo + water for any stains.
